Skyy Spirits Los Angeles World Class Whiskey Tasting Event at Seven Grand

A little over a week ago, Kylafornia and I got a not-so-random invitation forwarded over by a fellow tech friend, Shan Bhardwaj.  As enticing as this invitation appeared, somehow it escaped my mind to follow the directions on the invite and RSVP until about 3 hours before the event...

"Featuring Glenrothes, Auchentoshan, Bowmore, Yamazaki, Glen Gariach, Glen Grant, Russell's Reserve, Wild Turkey, Tullamore Dew to name of few...." 

Yeah, we thought this sounded amazing.

My lack of communication created a minor complication, but it was sorted out by Karen Uppal, Skyy Spirits' On Premise Manager in Los Angeles. (Thanks Karen!) Kylafornia and I then showed up to one of Los Angeles' few whiskey bars, Seven Grand, where we were told it was a closed event... but fortunately, we were on the list.

Just a quick note:

Doug from Tullamore Dew introduced us to his Irish Whiskeys, they were fantastic and ranged greatly in both taste and price.  Unfortunately, we didn't get much video of the explanations, but take our word for it, Tullamore Dew, their everyday, come-home-from-work-whiskey is perfect for any occasion.  And if you've ever wondered, you can read about the difference between Irish Whiskey and Scotch Whiskey on their site.
